Collection: Saucony
Saucony Originals comes together with British contemporary clothing brand, Universal Works for their second collaborative project, available for AW23. The collaboration will feature Saucony's brand new Jazz NXT style; a "unique twist on a classic runner: It's designed for the next generation of Saucony enthusiasts, making it the perfect silhouette to collaborate with" in the words of Saucony's President, Anne Cavassa.
2023 marks a significant year for Saucony as the brand celebrates 125 years of history and continuous innovation. In this vein, the project nods to the evolution of the running shoe from technical stalwart to a contemporary staple in almost every modern person's wardrobe. David adds: "We've all seen the running shoe transition into a contemporary classic, and Saucony, with the Originals line, has been a big part of that transition. As a person who regularly wears sports shoes in my day-to-day life, it's nice to do a project with the brand that made my original marathon running shoes.
Speaking of the synergy between the two brands, Anne continues: "Like us, Universal Works is dedicated to creating something authentic that enables individuals to live and feel better, and we wanted to embody this when we joined forces to create this sneaker. You can see Saucony's heritage and innovation throughout, such as expert cushioning and the use of high quality materials, met with Universal Work's tonal aesthetic to create a truly modern classic.
